Our History

historyFrom then to now...

In the latter half of the 1980′s two local nurses observed, in the midst of their daily rounds, that the broad spectrum of needs of patients dealing with end stages of life threatening disease were not being met.

Executive Director

Jason Gayne is the HVSC Executive Director.  Jason comes to us with a vast knowledge and experience. He had been involved in several non-profits over the years, and serves on the Board of Director's for several organizations. He is also a part time Police Officer for the Town of Skowhegan. He is excited for this opportunity and is looking to build the organization, and get very involved in the Somerset County community.

The Board meets bi-monthly at the Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County Office starting at 6:00 pm. All meetings are open to the public.
