Executive Director

Jason Gayne is the HVSC Executive Director.  Jason comes to us with a vast knowledge and experience. He had been involved in several non-profits over the years, and serves on the Board of Director's for several organizations. He is also a part time Police Officer for the Town of Skowhegan. He is excited for this opportunity and is looking to build the organization, and get very involved in the Somerset County community.

Jason graduated from the University of Maine at Fort Kent—with a AA in Criminal Justice, BS in Public Administration. He also attended Thomas College and earned a MS in Education, and is currently working on his MBA at Thomas.

Volunteer Services Coordinator

Karen Champagne completed her volunteer training in 2012.  She went on to further her Hospice Education by taking the bereavement companions training and childrens’ grief group training.  She has co-facilitated grief support groups and worked with bereavement companions.  Her husband passed away 10 years ago.  She has been busy raising their 9 children.  She loves the summer months and everything that goes with that season.
